The Maurten Solid 160 is a two-piece, oat- and rice-based chewable fuel. Designed to make fuelling easier when you are ‘on-the-go’. You may be on your way to a race or heading home from a hard training run, and that’s when the Solid 160 is at its most useful. Each packet (or wrapper) contains 2 mini-bars. Each mini-bar contains 20 grams of carbohydrate, meaning that the Solid 160 provides 40 grams of carbohydrate in total.
The total carbohydrate content – 40 grams – is the same as that provided by the Maurten Gel 160 and the Maurten Drink Mix 160. This should help when it comes to calculating carbohydrate consumption before, during and after training/racing.
This is a great product for when you want to:
- Consume a lot of carbohydrate and keep fibre low pre-training/racing; and
- For when you when you want to replenish carbohydrates quickly after training and racing.
However, for the avoidance of doubt, the Maurten Solid 160 can be used during low-to-medium intensity endurance sessions taking place over long durations, such as 2 hours plus.Â
