SHYU

SHYU was born as a thought that popped into the head of one of our founders, James, whilst he was running down the Bayside paths of South East Melbourne, Australia in late 2021. He was, as runners do, overthinking what he would wear at his next Half Marathon, and was looking for a sock to complement his race day super shoe. At the time he was thinking about wearing the Nike Vaporfly Next% 2 ’Blue Ribbon Sport’ – the ones with the tiger stripe detail. Looking around it was obvious he could get a white pair or a black pair pretty easily and they were, well, fine, but such a strikingly beautiful shoe with such a dull sock just didn’t feel right!?

And so, SHYU was born.
