Running Bear is proud to support Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support and the Yorkshire Dales Mighty Hike 2021, on 3 July 2021.

On Saturday 3 July the team will be tackling the Macmillan Mighty Hike which involves walking 26 miles through the beautiful (but hilly) Yorkshire Dales.
For people that know me, I’m sure you are aware that I have run a few marathons in my time but that was a long time ago! And after hiking half that distance lately, 26 is gonna be a tough one and an all-day mission for us!
Why Macmillan? … because each of us on the team has been affected and lost loved ones to Cancer and Macmillan have provided support and care during that time and we wanted to give a little back.
My Story … My mum passed away last Oct, my brother and I found out she had cancer when she went into hospital to get ‘checked out’ after a fall. Less than 2 weeks later, mum was no longer with us. So this is for mum and for the Macmillan nurses who were there for us all at Wythenshawe hospital.
