Brooks Ghost 14

Our Bear Char can often be found busy in the web den packing orders to send out to customers. Outside the den likely you’ll catch Char exploring the trails! We got to learn more about Char’s favourite shoes and clothing items she can’t live without!

My all-time favourite trainer has to be the Brooks Ghost!

The Brooks Ghost is my workhorse trainer, the one I’ve always gone back to after trailing with other similar trainers on the market. It’s perfect for everyday short runs and responsive enough for tempo sessions. It’s comfortable on long Sunday runs, but also stable enough for light trails.

So if I were only able to take one pair of trainers on holiday this year, I would be packing my Brooks Ghost.

Fortunately, I don’t have a limit on how many trainers I can pack this year, so I will also be taking the Saucony Peregrine, as will my husband, who absolutely loves these!

The Saucony Peregrine has been a favourite in our family for many years, it has outstanding grip for all terrains; mud, rocks, grass & gravel, but the grips are not too harsh for short distances on the road or footpaths. A great all round trail trainer.

My children all have a pair of inov-8 fell shoes, they use them for cross country races and fell races, where grip is essential! My son Thomas says he loves the Mudclaw because they help him to win races!

The item of clothing I’m so pleased that I have is the Ronhill shake dry jacket, it’s the best waterproof running jacket I’ve ever had. It’s windproof, waterproof, light weight and breathable. A couple of shakes and it’s dry. The only problem is, is that my children all like it too!  Its only got a small pocket, so If I’m going on a longer run I’d take my OMM Bum bag with me, it’s the perfect size for fitting all you need for a long run or walk on the fells.
